Tuesday Night Training

TNT - practical training courses

We believe that practical training is one of the greatest things that we offer Christian students at uni. We want students to go through uni, not just being trained in how to do a future job, but it also being trained in living as a Christian for the rest of life after uni. To this end, we run Tuesday Night Training (or TNT).

Semester Two, 2011

TNT for Semester 2 2011 will commence in week 1 (July 26th) from 5 to 7pm (with $5 for dinner). We will be meeting in the Law Building (Bldg. 12) in the Ground Floor Foyer (go down main stairs) outside L2.

Week 1-3:

Seminar series  on prayer.

Week 4+ Course Options:

Encouraging a New Christian

Ever wondered how you take someone from A to B as a new Christian?
What do you talk about? What is important to grounding the faith of a new believer? Where do I start?
This is a practical course where participants will learn the what, why and wherefore of personal follow up, thinking especially of the new or young Christian or with someone trying to work out what Christianity is about.
It is all based around a very helpful 7 week Bible study tool that you walk away with.
Look forward to having you join me in this very useful course!

Answering Tough Questions

In this course we'll be looking at some of the common questions people ask about Christianity. We'll find out how to hear what people are REALLY asking, and we'll cover both the content of a good answer (what do you need to say) and the method of answering (how do you say it well).

Working In God's World

This course is for those who want to think through what their faith in Jesus has to do with their Monday to Friday job. How do we walk the line between the two extremes of either thinking that our work is what makes us worthwhile and is the most important thing in life or thinking that it is only a way to earn money to support gospel ministry? What does the bible say about work? How do we work out what sort of work we should do? How do we balance commitments to work, church, family, community & friends? How do we manage the money we earn from work? These are some of the many issues we will be covering in this course. Ideal for those planning to graduate in the next 12 months or so, but not exclusive to those people.
